With the recent slew of Statutory Declarations flying around and everyone pointing fingers at everyone else, there can only be 1 conclusion to be made: UMNO is about to come crashing down or at least the power brokers in UMNO believe so.
For as long as there was internal confidence that the PM was an UMNO man be it Pak Lah or Najib subsequently, people had no worries. Example: truly if Razak Baginda was the fall guy in the Altantunya case, his suffrage would only last until Najib became PM.
Right now everything is tumbling because the reality of neither Pak Lah remaining as or Najib becoming PM must be getting stronger and everyone ones to cover their bases knowing very well that the moment Anwar Ibrahim becomes PM – the great purge or payback time will start. Everyone who wronged him will be as good as roasted. Likewise everone that Anwar has some dirt on will be dead too. And I am sure Anwar has tons and tons of Intelligence that is being provided to him. What makes me say intelligence is being provided to Anwar?
I for a moment do not believe that the VK Lingam tapes were recorded by the Gwo fellow – simply because no questions were asked about the recording device, and you know back in 2002 phones were not sophisticated enough or have enough memory to record so much footage. I still believe that VK was tapped. CIA / KGB don t know and don’t care.
Right now its between the devil and the deep blue sea – for the power brokers do you back Pak LAh and Najib or switch to Anwar? Almost like KJ having to choose between Nurul Izzah or Nori. Choose wrongly and you are dead, choose correctly and the reward are handsome.
Poor Pak Lah must be having nightmares – every turn and Anwar Ibrahim pop’s up. Likewise for Najib too, every turn and Rosmah show’s up…..
I still don trust Anwar and for me the precision and speed he has been able to work at only suggest that he is backed by some very powerful backers…. but short of bumping Anwar off, I think he has UMNO exactly where he needs then to be…. that is infighting among themselves and having a loss of confidence.

It’s interesting to watch what is happening now in Malaysia, but I still don’t see how Mr Anwar can assume power. Political power is built not only on grassroot support, which Anwar seems to command at the moment, but also on people in the position of power. I could be wrong but Anwar seems to lack this support from local political strongmen, doesn’t he? As I see it the only possibility of a change in government in Malaysia would be an overwhelming upheaval from these strongmen against UMNO but so far it hasn’t happened. Also, I’m curious as to why he only chose to expose these scandals now, won’t it be better to show them to the public before the election, which should completely swing the votes in the opposition’s favour.
